Facilities include bar lounge with live entertainment, buffet and a-la-carte restaurants, casino, two cinemas (local charge), piano bar and shops.  A pre-purchased meal package of 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts is available at a considerable saving against the on-board prices (see price panel).

Friday

The morning is free to enjoy the sights and shops in Reims. Apart from several champagne cellars, attractions include the impressive Gothic cathedral (where French kings were crowned), the Tau Palace and the Fine Arts Museum. There are guided walks available and a tourist train. After lunch we travel to the Marne Valley where we visit a local family champagne producer for a tour of the cellars and tasting. We arrive back in Reims around 6pm.

Saturday

The morning is again free (there may be an optional champagne visit arranged).  After lunch we head for the Montagne de Reims region and travel through picturesque wine villages en route to visit a small producer and enjoy further tastings. We return to our hotel by around 5.30pm.

Sunday

We depart at 9.45am and travel to Bruges, arriving around 1pm. Bruges is famous for lace making and its network of peaceful canals and pretty bridges. The cobbled streets are lined by fine old brick houses plus a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The Church of Our Lady boasts an extremely rich art collection including the white marble statue of the “Madonna with Child” by Michelangelo.  St Saviour’s Cathedral is the oldest parish church of Bruges with mausoleums and numerous paintings. The Half Moon brewery offers regular tours and tastings and there are museums to explore. Getting around is easy on foot but canal boat trips and horse-drawn carriage tours are also available.

At 4.45pm we depart and travel the short distance to the ferry terminal for the 7pm sailing to Hull. Entertainment is again included.

Monday

We disembark at 8am and expect to be in Leeds around 10am.
